You can be identified uniquely by your browser. You may have stopped cookies from being enabled, but you can still be identified and targeted.

Panoptica is a research project of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) that enables you to check whether your browser displays characteristics of uniqueness.

  1. hi chris.

i just did that panopticlick test and it showed my ‘browser fingerprint’ is unique. i’ve been reading up on julian assange’s crusade to keep wikileaks going. being identified by browser fingerprinting is scary. i’m just wondering what do u think of wikileaks and do you think it will ultimately be destroyed by these sorts of government digital ‘identifier’ methods?
